Cowes and people

Mark Foden June 11, 2017

The mighty winds of last week have blown off somewhere else and Lionhart made it to Cowes. Hurrah! Night off: bed, bath, everything. Also sunshine.

Some introductions...

This is Laura Try who is also rowing the whole way around. Laura has a sunny disposition, an affinity with social media and a fearsome amount of oompfh.

Crew change - sadly Paddy Johnson and Max Mossman went back to work. But they'll be back on the water soon enough: they'll be taking a pedalo across the Atlantic next year.

Steve Sideaway came aboard and will be with Lionheart all the way to Lochinver. Steve is rowing for Molly Olly's Wishes a really great charity supporting children with terminal illnesses. He is accompanied by a lion.

Skippers are changing. Charlie Pitcher is off for a week's lie-down and Angus Collins has come to bask on the sun-deck until Padstow. They are both from the very marvellous Rannoch Adventure who make boats and great things happen.

Everyone is lovely. Morale is high.
